![]() ![]() The few games I play on occasion that are not supported by motion seem lifeless. You would think it’s a commercially made item not some DIY project made in a basement.Īnd as for using it all I can say is it has changed my sim life! Every time someone comes over and I put them in X-Plane VR or project cars 2 with triple screens people literally say it’s the coolest thing theyve ever seen. And their software can be really wonky because it is proprietary.Īs for the rig itself it’s very well made. But in the end it’s way too expensive and way too large and basically just a seat mover with traction loss. The original motion platform I have always wanted was the simxperience Stage 5. for a brief second I consider the NL motion platform platform but it’s just a seat mover and I’m not interested in that. The motor seems extremely noisy and the articulation seemed to be much less. It is considerably more expensive especially if you plan to go 5 dof. The point of a motion simulator that you spend this much money on is to use it, not be fiddling with settings and never able to use it.īefore I go any further I will say the only other motion simulator I considered was the prosimu t1000. This stuff is after all experimental and can be quite frustrating to figure out. I’ve watched a lot of videos trying to teach you the stuff and to be honest I’m happy it was included and I didn’t have to worry about it. ![]() The best part is it comes pre setup with detailed instructions for Sim tools and plug-ins for virtually every game I can think of except wreckfest. The thing is super easy to assemble, and even came with all of the tools including real wrenches. It arrives within two weeks of ordering it, which is pretty much across the world. I knew I would be adding extra weight to it so I decided on the upgraded Motors. Those builds you have there are just unbelievable.įor those of you interested in purchasing the dof reality rig let me just tell you it is definitely worth every penny I spent. I plan to add vibe functionality later on and we will see what the future brings. As expected you can spend hours in optimizing and tweaking but man what have I missed back in the times where there was no VR or motion in racing sims…. I studied systems engineering some years ago so I have some background for electronics, mechanics and software.įinally due to time and space limitations I decided to get a DOF Reality as it was easier than to gather all the parts and I really love it. So I spent some nights reading through this forum and all the different topics that can and need to be considered. Then I read about the possibilty to use motion rig systems to increase the immersion and reduce motions sickness (it really helped in my case). I had my HTC Vive for some time till I realized how much more fun it makes to do racing sims in VR. I’m happy to join this great community with all your experience around motion sim. ![]()
